This study aimed to identify the impact of emotional intelligence on enhancing leadership capabilities among health leaders in public hospitals in Marib Governorate. The study adopted a descriptive analytical approach and used Goleman's model (2001) as a theoretical framework to measure the dimensions of emotional intelligence (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management). A comprehensive survey method was used, and the sample consisted of (80) health leaders from six public hospitals. The results showed a high level of both emotional intelligence and leadership capabilities among the sample members. The findings also revealed a strong positive correlation (R=0.73) and a positive significant impact (R²=0.53) of emotional intelligence on enhancing leadership capabilities. Additionally, the results indicated a positive correlation and impact for each dimension of emotional intelligence individually on enhancing leadership capabilities. The study also found no statistically significant differences attributable to demographic variables. The study recommended spreading the concept of emotional intelligence within these hospitals and establishing training programs to teach and apply emotional intelligence skills due to its prominent role in enhancing leadership capabilities and improving the performance of health institutions.
