Journal Policy
A) Receipt and Processing of Manuscripts
-
Manuscripts are received through the journal’s website or via its official email address, and the date of receipt is recorded for each submission.
-
The author shall submit a signed declaration confirming that the manuscript has not been previously published, is not under consideration elsewhere, and will not be submitted to another publication venue until the review and publication procedures of the journal have been completed.
-
The Editorial Board reviews the manuscript in accordance with the journal’s submission requirements and approved template before sending it for peer review. If deficiencies are identified, the author is notified and requested to complete the required corrections.
-
A manuscript deemed eligible for peer review is sent confidentially to two (2) expert reviewers specializing in the same field as the manuscript. If one reviewer rejects the manuscript while the other recommends acceptance after revision, the manuscript is referred to a third reviewer whose decision will determine whether the manuscript is accepted after revision or rejected.
-
Upon receiving the reviewers’ reports, the manuscript is returned to the author, who is informed of the required revisions in accordance with the scientific methodology and standards of academic promotion and scholarly research.
-
After the author completes the required revisions, they are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and subsequently submitted to the reviewers for a second evaluation.
-
If the author satisfactorily addresses all required revisions, an official letter of acceptance for publication is issued. The revision date and publication date are recorded on the manuscript.
-
The manuscript is assigned a serial number, formatted according to the journal template, and prepared for publication.
-
The journal is published electronically and subsequently in print. The author receives a complete electronic copy of the journal, as well as an electronic offprint of the published article together with the journal’s foreword. The journal is uploaded to its official website, posted on the Taiz University website, and distributed to various indexing and abstracting databases.
-
Published articles are uploaded to Google Scholar.
-
A manuscript may be rejected by the Editorial Board or the Review Committee if the author fails to comply with the journal’s publication requirements, violates research ethics, presents no original contribution, or does not meet the standards of an original scientific study. In such cases, the reasons for rejection shall be clearly stated.
-
The journal regularly checks submitted manuscripts and published articles for plagiarism and academic misconduct.
B) Peer Review Process
-
Submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by members of the Editorial Board to determine whether they comply with the journal’s publication requirements and are suitable for peer review. The Editor-in-Chief may reject a manuscript if it falls outside the journal’s scope or fails to comply with scientific publishing standards.
-
All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Educational Sciences and Human Studies are subject to a confidential electronic peer-review process, conducted through the journal’s website or official email, to determine their suitability for publication.
-
Manuscripts qualifying for peer review are sent confidentially to two (2) expert reviewers in the relevant field. If one reviewer rejects the manuscript while the other recommends acceptance after revision, the manuscript is referred to a third reviewer whose decision will be final regarding publication after revision or rejection.
-
Manuscripts are evaluated using the journal’s approved review form. The review period shall not exceed two weeks. If a reviewer fails to submit the review within the specified period, the manuscript may be assigned to another reviewer.
-
Reviewers are requested to complete the evaluation form, annotate the manuscript where necessary, and provide a detailed review report addressing issues not covered in the evaluation form. The report is submitted to the Editor-in-Chief and then forwarded to the author for revision.
-
Authors are required to complete and submit the requested revisions within a maximum period of three weeks, accompanied by a response table detailing all revisions made.
-
Revised manuscripts are returned to the Review Committee to assess the author’s compliance with the requested revisions. Upon satisfactory completion, the author is issued an official acceptance letter indicating the publication date, issue number, month, and year of publication.
-
If the reviewers recommend rejection of the manuscript, the Editor-in-Chief shall send a formal letter of regret to the author explaining the reasons for non-publication.
-
The journal adopts a Double-Blind Peer Review Policy, whereby neither the author knows the identity of the reviewer nor the reviewer knows the identity of the author.
