Abstract

The aim of this research was to study the level of psychological security among children from displaced families in Taiz Governorate, analyzing the differences in average scores of the sample based on gender (male, female). The sample consisted of 72 children from displaced families residing in displacement camps in the Al-Ma'afir district, comprising 30 females and 42 males, aged between 9 and 12 years. The sample was selected intentionally to ensure representation of the target group. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher developed a specific scale to measure psychological security and extracted the necessary psychometric properties to verify its validity and reliability. The results indicated that the scale possesses a high degree of validity and reliability, making it a trustworthy tool for use in this study. The research yielded several key findings, notably that the level of psychological security among the sample was average, suggesting room for improvement in this aspect for displaced children in the camps. Additionally, significant statistical differences were found in the level of psychological security among the sample based on gender (male, female), with these differences favoring females, indicating that they enjoy a higher level of psychological security compared to males.
