Publication Fees

Taiz University Research Journal for Humanities and Applied Sciences (TURJ) is committed to providing an open-access publishing model that ensures immediate and unrestricted access to all published articles.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

To support the editorial, peer-review, production, online publication, and administrative processes of the journal, the following fees apply:

  • Researchers affiliated with Taiz University: No publication fee is charged.
  • Researchers affiliated with Yemeni universities and institutions outside Taiz University: A publication fee of YER 50,000 per accepted article.
  • Researchers affiliated with institutions outside Yemen: A publication fee of USD 200 per accepted article.

Submission and Peer-Review Fees

There is no submission fee for submitting a manuscript to TURJ.

The publication fee is charged only after the manuscript has successfully passed the peer-review process and has been formally accepted for publication.

Payment of a publication fee does not influence the editorial decision, peer-review process, or acceptance of a manuscript.

What the Publication Fee Covers

The publication fee contributes to the costs associated with:

  • Editorial and peer-review administration.
  • Manuscript processing and production.
  • Copyediting and formatting.
  • Online publication and hosting.
  • Maintenance of the journal's publishing platform.
  • Digital preservation and archiving.
  • Administrative and technical publishing services.

Articles Rejected After Peer Review

The journal is not obligated to refund fees for rejected research papers

 

Waivers and Discounts

Authors who experience financial difficulties may contact the editorial office to request consideration for a partial or full waiver.

Waiver requests are considered independently of the editorial and peer-review process and have no influence on editorial decisions.

No Additional Publication Charges

TURJ does not charge authors additional fees for:

  • Submission of a manuscript.
  • Editorial evaluation.
  • Peer review.
  • Online publication beyond the stated publication fee.
  • Accessing or downloading published articles.

Any exceptional or additional charges, if applicable, will be clearly communicated to the authors before they are incurred.

Transparency of Fees

All applicable publication fees are publicly disclosed on this page. Authors are encouraged to review the journal's publication fee policy before submitting their manuscripts.
