Abstract

 

 The current study aimed to identify the degree to which principals of public basic education schools in the city of Taiz practice their role in providing psychological security for students from the point of view of their teachers, and whether there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05) in the average estimates of male and female teachers for the degree of principals’ practice governmental basic education schools in the city of Taiz for their role in providing psychological security for students is attributed to the variable (gender - academic qualification - years of experience.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive method in its survey form to suit the nature of the study and its questions.  The study population consisted of all male and female teachers in governmental basic education schools actually operating in the city of Taiz, and their number was (1177) male and female teachers in the year (2018-2019 AD) .

The study sample, which was taken by a random stratified method, consisted of the original study population of (119) male and female teachers, and the researcher used  Questionnaire, consisting of (9) items.

 The study found that the degree to which principals of public basic education schools in Taiz city practiced their role in providing psychological security for students, from the point of view of teachers, was moderate, with an arithmetic average of (3.264).
