Abstract

This study aims to read descriptive performance in the story of the yellow cannon by Zaid Mouti Dammaj. it have tried to trace the construction of the description in its various configurations, and she celebrated his various tools, The study monitored descriptions in accordance with the submission of the text for its. and it stopped at the basic descriptive operations, and space systematization tools, and manifestations of consistency and cohesion, the study targeted description functions preview in this story. the study treated its subject through  the  Structuralist approach, and it benefited from the semiotic approach, and the method of reading and receiving, and the sayings of the theory of description. the study concluded that the studied story includes a descriptive structure that responds very effectively to the technical requirements and methodological statements of the description theory.
