Abstract

       This article aims to explore the topic of cohesion and its impact on the conceptual structure of contractual texts, specifically within the practical framework of the verses on the fundamentals of faith, based on the textual linguistic analysis approach. Cohesion is an important criterion of textuality, as its function lies in identifying the interrelations within the conceptual and semantic structure of the text. Which in turn, contribute to link the components and units of the text to establish a coherent textual structure. which guides the reader or recipient toward a correct understanding and interpretation of the text, as reading and interpretation play an active role in identifying logical interrelations, and because it is a textual necessity for the connection of the intellectual structure, no text is devoid of it. Therefore, there must be cohesive links that connect the meanings within the text, enabling the recipient to grasp the speaker’s intended message. and it is  known that semantic interrelations significantly contribute to achieving the coherence and cohesion of the text, ensuring its semantic unity, as it works to link between its parts and components, forming an integrated and unified textual structure, and these interrelations are  worthy of being addressed by academic textual studies. This study focuses specifically on a set of logical semantic interrelations, namely: (generalization and specification, clarification and interpretation, causation and effect, as well as sequencing and follow-up).
