Abstract

This study aims to assess the extent to which student guiding skills are practiced at Al-Janad University for Science and Technology. It also seeks to determine whether there are statistically significant differences in the participants’ responses based on gender, job position, and years of experience. The study employed a descriptive analytical methodology, using a questionnaire administered to a sample of 78 faculty members and administrative staff at the university.

The findings revealed that the overall degree of student counseling practice was moderate, with a mean score of 3.14 and a standard deviation of 0.698 Among the dimensions assessed, social counseling ranked highest with a high level of practice (mean = 3.20), followed by academic counseling, which was rated at a moderate level (mean = 3.08), and finally psychological counseling, also at a Iow level (mean = 2.57).

Additionally, the results indicated no statistically significant differences at the 0.05 significance level in the participants’ perceptions of counseling practice based on the variables of gender, job position, or years of experience.
