University Education Financing – Inclusive Growth – Future Financing Mechanisms – YemenAbstract
This study analyzes the reality of university financing in Yemen and its role in promoting inclusive growth, while exploring future mechanisms to enhance financial efficiency. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected from a stratified random sample of 222 faculty members, administrators, and postgraduate students across three universities (Taiz, Aden, and Saba Region). Findings indicate that university financing remains limited, with an overall mean of 2.88, a standard deviation of 0.94, and a relative weight of 57.16%, reflecting a “moderate” perception and continued reliance on government allocations with weak diversification of funding sources. In contrast, financing was found to contribute significantly to inclusive growth (mean = 3.53; relative weight = 70.6%), while future financing mechanisms received the highest evaluation (82.18%), underscoring the importance of adopting transparent, performance-based funding strategies. The relationship between financing and inclusive growth was moderate (R² = 0.465). Significant differences were observed across demographic and institutional variables, favoring males, bachelor’s degree holders, administrators, and respondents with longer professional experience.Downloads
